Why a make-believe grandma?
Because the scammers went and got themselves an AI, sugar, so we did too.
Today's criminals use artificial intelligence to clone voices from a few seconds of audio, generate flawless phishing emails, and fake faces on a screen. The old advice, "watch for bad spelling and a foreign accent", doesn't cut it anymore. So we built an AI that fights for your side: Grandma Pearl. She was shaped on thousands of documented fraud patterns, FBI and FTC alerts, and real case reports, and her whole job is to turn all of that into plain-English warnings your family can actually use.
Our honesty manifesto
Here's the thing we will never budge on, because it's the whole point of a brand built around trust:
- Pearl is always labeled as AI. Her voice and her face are AI-made, and we say so on every video, every post, every page. We will never pretend she's a real human being.
- No fear-mongering. We don't scare you, we equip you. Empowered people beat scammers; panicked people get got.
- We never shame victims. Getting scammed isn't a character flaw. It's happened to doctors, judges, and a retired bank manager or two. Speed and kindness beat shame every time.
- Sources, always. Our advice points back to the FTC, the FBI's IC3, AARP, and Medicare, never made up, never financial or legal advice.
In a space built entirely on the question "is this real?", being radically honest about what Pearl is isn't a weakness. It's the lesson.
Who we're here for
Two folks, really. The seniors who deserve plain, respectful, big-print straight talk, never talked down to. And their adult kids, who lie awake worrying about a 2 a.m. phone call. Pearl is here so both can sleep a little easier.
How we keep the porch light on (the money part, plainly)
We believe in being as honest about our business as about the scams:
- The weekly alerts and the scam guides are free. Always.
- The Scam-Proof Family Kit is a small paid product ($19) for folks who want the whole printable playbook in one place.
- Some tools we recommend may be affiliate links, if so, we say so right next to them, and Pearl only ever recommends what she'd put on her own porch. It never changes your price.
